Swansea City away match thread

Recommended Posts

It was an excellent performance and a great, very enjoyable away win.

One thing that is irritating me - and we’ve done it a number of times in each match we’ve played thus far - is defenders playing ‘floaty’ passes. Max is the worst culprit. He’s taken to passing to his fullbacks using, what looks like backspin, and they’re in the air for so long that they’ve often been cut out by opposing attackers, leaving us at risk in bad areas of the pitch. Yesterday, Gardner-Hickman played a similar crossfield pass which was intercepted too close to our penalty area for my liking. We need collectively to be playing such passes with zip to reduce the risk and stop giving the ‘kin ball away in dangerous places. Only a small irritation but I needed to share!

Otherwise I’m really pleased with our start to the season so, COYR!

(PS the ref was a rarity - a total and absolute tosser. I was in er Spain, I think, watching the match and was bollocked by Mrs H for shouting so many obscenities at him whilst the windows were open.)

I don't see the problem as long as you weren't swearing in, er, Spanish.?
