The Nest Egg
They could have really had something if they chose to keep Wade on as assistant manager
marcofisher
Don’t know why he would stand by Elliott, Cheltenham have been abysmal under him. Why would he expect them to stay with him?

Why would he expect them to stay with him? Agree. Played well once this season and not scored. Pretty much every manager would get sacked, at any club. Maybe he knows they are going down and doesn’t want a relegation on his cv

Led them to their second highest finish ever last season….sold their Crown Jewels, Shrewsbury take all their back room staff and senior people, widely expected to be bottom 3…. and then the manager is the fall guy and gets the sack for being bottom. Lost 3-0 yesterday too in their first game without him.

Pre season Wade Elliott said they had a bottom 3 budget last season, far smaller than Forest Green (!) & the two other sides with similar ones (Accrington & Morecambe) both got relegated, this season they have the smallest one. As @petehinton said they lost almost all their backroom staff pre season, I’m constantly surprised by posters having absolutely no concept of the circumstances other clubs are operating under, before saying stuff like “their results are shit”. Clueless.
