Seriously, look where Iheanacho’s feet are, still in the darker cut of grass to what Preston’s no3 is, who’s left foot, let alone left arm are well into the next lighter cut of grass. If we take the grass mowings as 6, 12 and 18 yards, the Preston no3 line would be drawn somewhere around the 10-yard mark (11 at worst). Iheanacho’s feet are at least 12 yards (probably 12.5 yards) from goal. Even if Iheanacho was Michael Jackson…. …using a bit of trigonometry he’d be at best 11.5 yards from goal…still behind the worst case position of the Preston no3. There is absolutely no way VAR would give that offside, unless there was a comms cock-up like Liverpool v Tottenham. It really isn’t even close to be offside.
