Joe Low confirmed in starting lineup for the first team ahead of ampadu and lockyer.

Definitely nothing to see here

Yep, senior players are being rested for the Croatia game.

Not really a second string either, everyone near the first team squad is being kept back

Smashing it at Wycombe.

Their fans are properly raving about him and can't believe we let him go.

Early days, but maybe one that we could've kept onto a little longer?

Not sure about that, he was on the bench a couple of times very recently.

Not convinced he’s going to turn out any better than Robbie Cundy.

Gibraltar are a really poor side, barely National League, their starting line up tonight includes a player from King’s Lynn Town, that’s Bath City standard, someone who is playing in Ireland & loads from their own league.

Don't know why that was but my Wycombe mate says he's been excellent and most other fans agree.

Wes Burns taken off this eve with his arm in a sling. Guess he may be a doubt for the game at AG later in the month.

Ipswich have already sold out the Ayteo - great support.

Maybe squad rotation, who knows?

Bottom line though is tonight Wales are playing a side who are about the same standard as Yeovil so I wouldn’t get too carried away, if he gets games against middle ranking nations like Poland or Norway then he can say he’s made it.

Excellent support true, but they are on the crest of a wave at present, similar to us in 2007/8.

I'd expect someone who's come up through our Academy to do well in L1 but getting rave reviews at Wycombe is a long way from the standard required to perform at a consistently high level in the Championship each week.

See Wes Burns and Joe Low both started for Wales last night.

Not ours anymore, but testament to the quality of youth players that have come through recently ish

Actually delighted to see

With the likes of JoJo for Ghana and so on it's pleasing to see players come through and achieve elsewhere even if they don't make it here.

This is ignoring obvious bigger sales, Scott, Semenyo, Kelly, Reid etc

And those like Max, Conway etc who are still here

It's working isn't it? We've cracked it finally?

For the players it’s a fantastic pathway for them and good luck to them , don’t think we have cracked it as a club as we are just a average team with not much sign of progression the last few years , we are producing great individual granted

They used to bring 500 when they were rubbish, not such great support

Last time they came to Ashton Gate in 2019 - pause the video just before 5.20 and you’ll see the Atyeo is mostly empty seats:

Totally.

There is a hell of a lot of revisionism now going on.

Under the Marcus Evans regime it had gone completely stale & Mick McCarthy was hounded out by their support for keeping them mid table with an owner who refused to spend (that bit sound at all familiar?), they went down as soon as Mick was replaced & then took 4 years to get back up.

In McCarthy’s last two seasons they averaged around 16000 at home & used to bring circa 700 to AG at that time.

That were a tragic time.   Real disaster and one unfortunate episode after another.    You'd have to have been part of it or with it all the way to truly understand the depths in which the club name sank.     Not just talking 1 or 2 seasons, the bloody thing went on for well over a decade.    Think it would be fair to say at (many) regular times between 2007 - 2021 we were so far vanished from our previous statures and the play and direction was in total disarray, it was like the club name had been erased from records.     All right we played our games and seasons but it was without soul, without feeling, it was existence and really little else with it.     There was no real life in or around the club.

Yes we'll bring more over to your side of the country for the away game than would have been before that's for sure.    We're bringing people back to Portman Road and away trips like haven't been seen in years.      McKenna could - or will - be snapped up by a more illustrious club name sooner or later but right now he's expanding an already impressive CV with us.      We're in something of recently unprecedented territory at the top of the Championship  and maybe it won't last but after all the years - many years of decline - the fans deserve something back.

I know some over that way don't welcome the Welsh with open arms but for the real sake of this thread and last night's heroic victory over Croatia I'd like to take the opportunity to offer congratulations and wish them well in being able to qualify for the next Euro's.      They deserve something too, the Rugby World Cup must have been a big disappointment for them.
