forbespm
My sons first league game away following city. Not sure whether to drive or get the train. What's it like for parking by the away end and is it far from the station? Are there pies any good? Thanks in advance for any info
Sir Geoff
Can't answer any of those questions, sorry. First time and new ground for me. I'm staying up North for 4 nights as we are playing Blackburn away on the Tuesday. Tickets on sale tomorrow, by the way. redkev
Station 15 mins walk from the ground , good food , done Huddersfield a few times always a decent ( cheap pint ) walking through town from the station and pies are good ( all pies up north are good in my opinion ) oh and it’s gets bloody cold aswell Edited November 7, 2023 by redkev
italian dave
Parking isn't great there. There's places in the centre - 15/20 mins walk - but not a lot nearer the ground. It's a good ground though - always enjoy visiting it (until the game starts usually!) Echo @redkev on the weather: cold, damp and usually the first place to get snow! Also, can't remember seeing us ever do very well there - and there've been a couple of games recently where we've been worse than useless.
22A
I went by train a few years back when we won 2-1. As @redkev posted 15 mins max walk from the station. Your walk takes you past the Gas Club. (Nothing to do with blue & white quarters). That day food & drink were reasonably priced. The food & drink outside the ground were also reasonably priced. That day was verrrrry cold. On leaving I bought a massive cup of hot chocolate for two quid. It was made with milk not water as some places do.
Red from afar
I parked at the gasworks carpark last time out. Not far from the stadium, plenty of space. You'll need to prebook on the HTFC website. It was about £6 iirc.

Thanks in advance for any info As others have alluded to, parking isn't great if you don't do your homework beforehand. Last season, I got very lucky and found a space on Old Leeds Rd, but was worried I was going to get a ticket as the markings and signs weren't clear at all.
