SomeRandomBristolian
Just wondering what peoples favourite stadium was, that they visited as an away fan following City. I did enjoy Fulham when I visited there.

I also liked Villa Park even though we lost 5-0 and I nearly got hit by a meat pie. 7

Davefevs
New Wembley….2015 Seriously though Filbert Street, the Dziekanowski FA Cup game. I don’t go away very often, that was great. Absolutely soaked.
22A
Brisbane Road (in the early 70s) for four reasons. Of all the London clubs, Orient didn't have a firm. Instead we were able to walk into any part of the ground and make it ours for the afternoon. They had a bar serving beer in glasses(!) straight onto the terraces. One of their directors was in the tea trade and the club shop sold packets of very tasty tea to take home. City regularly won there.

One of the last places to have terracing, decent pubs, a good chippie and usually a competitive game.
Marina's Rolls Royce
The Memorial Stadium is without doubt the best experience. On 3/5/14

Probably the older ones Newcastle before they put away fans in the outer atmosphere, Elm Park , Filbert street , Brunton Park and Gresty Rd. 11 minutes ago, 22A said: Brisbane Road (in the early 70s) for four reasons. City regularly won there. Everyone has some group or another . We had our tyres slashed on the Van our 1-1 Promotion draw, 89/90 I think. The bar on/in the back of the stand was a surprise. Went for out 4-1 hammering in the Cup, even had to wear blue shirts , 1982 ish. Me and a mate in their seats and spent every penny we had on beer, and then got thrown out Edited November 23, 2023 by 1960maaan
Offside
Griffin Park for me. Great atmosphere and a pub on each corner of the ground. I enjoyed Newcastle too. The ground has a central location and a it’s great city to spend a weekend in.

bcfc01
WBA for me. Straight off the M5 and into The Vine which is a great pub serving good curries, fish and chips, burgers, etc etc in an open area at the back of the pub. 10 minute walk to the ground.

Plus it helps that we’ve had some good results recently eg Tomlin’s last minute free kick.

Edgy Red
I agree with Villa Park and Griffin Park. Molineux also has a decent atmosphere tho my last memory there was a 3-0 defeat where flapper Phillips let a back pass roll over his foot!

fisherrich
No contest, the old Upton Park. What a ground. Proper old skool, bar at the back of the away end, atmosphere, edge, tension, loved it. Filbert Street was good, Ayresome Park, Old Den also. Then the obvious ones such as Fulham etc.
REDOXO
I liked Millwall in both of its versions. Some great stories! Must have been there 15 times and only remember losing twice in well over 55 years!

pongo88
Gay Meadow, the old Shrewsbury ground, the night John Atyeo scored 4 goals. It’s been downhill all the way since then
CodeRed
I like the old school grounds, in the town/city pubs nearby etc, favourites include Griffin Park, Fulham, Saltergate, Baseball, Grounds I hate Ricoh, WBA, Home Pk - soleless. St. Andrews - crap ground, crap area, crap pubs. Upton Park - first went late 60's for the cup game as a 13 year old schoolboy with 2 friends and we got jumped on and whacked by a dozen big brave men outside the tube station. I've disliked Hammers and their scumbag fans ever since!

WoodsDTES
I’ll always remember the stadium of light fondly, the noise was incredible and the fact we literally got in their half once and had one shot on target the whole game to get a draw was a bonus but that was when I was a kid so everything seemed bigger/louder.

BS4 on Tour...
Ninian Park - my last five visits there saw us win five times ... brill days out - but walking out after the games was an adventure, the police seemingly had no interest in protecting away fans from the inevitable onslaught ... Ninian Park, a proper away day ...
