Recommended Posts

Think that I hear JP say that he will be in Hamburg for the Euro draw taking place on BBC at 17:15pm on Saturday 2nd December(THAT'S TODAY)

UEFA have said it will be the first draw that will have group games closer to one another

Germany's group games are

Munich 232kms to Stuttgart 144 miles

Stuttgart 205kms to Frankfurt 126 miles

Hungary Holland and Italy worst case scenario for us potentially?

Pot 1: Germany (hosts), Portugal, France, Spain, Belgium, England.

Pot 2: Hungary, Turkey, Romania, Denmark, Albania, Austria.

Pot 3: Netherlands, Scotland, Croatia, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic.

Pot 4: Italy, Serbia, Switzerland, play-off winner A (one of Poland/Wales/Finland/Estonia), play-off winner B (one of Israel/Bosnia and Herzegovina/Ukraine/Iceland), play-off winner C (one of Georgia/Greece/Kazakstan/Luxembourg).

So realistically, quarters we could face Germany, Spain or Italy, and if we don’t face one in the quarters then we naturally will in the semis.

I really think if we can avoid Spain/someone else knocks them out, we win the whole thing.

I got no faith in Southgate to make the right tactical changes when needed. He hasn’t learned. He’s too passive

Mumbled over the hosts and made too many errors, thankfully didn't mention us

Yeah because a semi final and a final appearance in the last two tournaments is awful

When he gets to the final stages he gets out coached. That’s a lazy argument from you tbf. 1-0 v Italy . It was clear after 20 minutes that Italy were growing into the game . He waited until they equalised to change things . (Passive)

He did the same v Croatia , too passive

He did the same v France in the World Cup . They were there for the taking . Too passive

a better coach sees the problems unfolding & is proactive .

Like the tactical change in bringing Mount on in a more advanced role against France, gets him on the end of a chance in the box that then earns us the penalty & golden chance to equalise?

A great draw if you have tickets for first place Group C in the second round.

Happy bloody dayssss

I’m hoping some French or Portuguese have tickets for the game and want to do a swap! We’re based in Frankfurt so will head up to Gelsenkirchen  possibly even without tickets (if we win the group!)

We were still too passive overall , they were there for the taking & we were the better side, we lack belief in those big games. Only winning one will change that but he has to put his foot on the throat when we’re on top .  Italy final still grates with me . He had to bring grealish on to get us up the pitch . Take the pressure off the back 4 , we were under constant pressure but he waited until they scored. . I’ll give him a pass v Croatia . We didn’t have a very good squad , especially compared to now & we only got as far as we did because we were in a very unbalanced side of the draw.
