Agree, and re @mozo’s original post you replied to, I honestly believe Manning is “genuine”, ie he’s not spouting BS, that he totally believes what he is saying, it’s based on many years coaching.  Getting City to play that way is a different matter, but I don’t think he’s a bluffer.  And I get that his press interviews are a bit dull, not Friday’s was pretty informative if you’re prepared to listen.

The main problems are “above”.

Id like to hear Hogg do some of the interviews, as I’d like to hear what he has to say and how he says things.

The thing is that players have either been in the game long enough, or have come through an academy set up and they hear and expect the kind of language that the detractors call "coachspeak". In fact I think they see it as evidence that the man understands the game, it's just that some of the older Managers in particular are able to tone it down in public interviews something either doesn't know how to do or cares about.

Got to be the best £700k we’ve spent in a long, long time…..

As others have said, will be interesting to see how we line-up with big Rob is fit - perhaps Rob, Dickie and Zak with Cam and McCrorie as wing-backs?

That setup for me would be a tasty prospect. That 5, then 2 banks of 2 in the middle, e.g.:

James| Naismith

TGH/Weimann | Knight

    Conway

Would be a real solid side but still with threats going forward down the wings plus down the middle

A sizable back 5 too, I think McCrorie is 6-3? With the two Robs and Zak, I think Cam would be the smallest at 6-1.

Swap Naismith or James for TGH with Sykes right side yes. I don’t see how Sykes could be left out
