West Ham v Wolves

Good opportunity to take a look at West Ham given our FA cup 3rd game in January.

As you’d expect they’re very slick with pace throughout the team  and are currently putting Wolves to the sword cruising comfortably at 3-0. Wolves have barely a shot goal other than a VaR offside effort.

Our former keeper Bentley is having a shocker and should have done better with a three goals. He certainly ain’t PL quality imo.

However Wolves are pretty poor, overrun in midfield and defensively very sloppy - that doesn’t help Bentley much. Shame it’s not them in the 3rd round……….:cool2:

It really depends on the team Moyes chooses to field on the day.  They’ve played a lot of football and are through to the knockout stages of the Europa League.

Cant see the FA Cup being a priority, but that doesn’t mean to say he won’t pick a strong team.

Be a lovely boon if he does prioritise the Europa League and League position and go nice and weak against us. If we could scrap a win; be an amazing day for 9k travelling fans and always nice to make the 4th round.

It'd be great to reach the 6th Round, as next February marks the 50th anniversary of that last achievement.

If Max had conceded the first goal we would have seen a few regulars on here weighing in that’s for sure. Great strike but it went in about 2 yards inside the post. It looked wrong on first glance and the behind the goal view showed why.

West Ham do ask questions of the keeper from set pieces though so it will be interesting how Max deals with that when we play them (albeit I can see JWP and Bowen benched for our game).
