We also lost to Spurs in the semis in the late 60s Not a whoosh. I had no idea. Was the 73 side with the kids of Gow, Ritchie, etc?

The Gow generation played in the 1970 semi against Spurs. Gerry matched up against a young kid called Graeme Souness. I can’t remember who played in 73, possibly Collier, Mabbut, etc. Hopefully someone out there will have a teamsheet they can share. 1
1960maaan
All I can find for the second leg is; Bristol City (0) 1 - 1 (0) Ipswich Town FA Youth Cup Final 2nd Leg 1972-73 (Youth (U18/U19) game) Monday, April 16, 1973. I think Spurs also had Steve Perryman in the team who was also in the first team at that time.

Gerry Gow and a few others of Alan Dicks promotion team were part of the youth squad that reached the 1969/70 semifinals against Spurs. Gary Collier was a little bit later. I thought I would know more of the Ipswich players too, but only Burley, Gates and Parkin jump out at me.

Vaguely remembered the name Dale Roberts too. Looked him up, had a decent career at Hull but sadly died at the young age of 46 of cancer. 1
handsofclay
Brian McNeil played a few games for us but then went over to play in the States. 32 players apparently played for City in the top flight in 1976-80 but he was the only one who couldn't be traced. Last known to be somewhere in Canada.
Davefevs
Kevin Prue - manager of Yate at one point iirc.
1960maaan
Just Googled Bob Wardle , the name seemed very familiar. 0 games for us before playing 131 times for Shrewsbury . Got a move to Liverpool , with Steve Ogrizovic going in exchange . That's probably how I remember the name , would have been big news around 1982. Never played, but then Grobbelaar was No.1.
