Was an interesting selection by pivac, considering he's barely played 15 senior games it's a big ask to bring him in to the international fold. He's a huge talent though and certainly one to look out for, the next world Cup may be too soon (he'll still only be 21/22 when it starts!) but 2027 could really see him in his prime, an exciting prospect for both us and Wales for sure
CyderInACan
What a weekend, City v. WRDC and Bris v. Wasps. So good to have the rugby back, takes away some of the depression of lockdown!

JBFC II
First team of the season. Considering the absentees, that’s still a good line up. Probably not enough to beat wasps but more competitive than I thought it would be, so here’s hoping we can do some damage!

From what I can see they have launchbury, Robson and minozzi out for internationals and then the likes of fekitoa are injured. They certainly have a few, but nothing like the 16 we’ve got out! Any points from Sunday will be an achievement, and with a bit of belief and good execution who knows what could happen?
RedM
As others have said it will be a good game to get out of the way. A bonus point is probably our aim, but don’t underestimate the Bears as they won’t want Wasps to hang onto the title of the only team we can’t beat either. JBFC II
Surprisingly competitive so far. We need to cut out the errors if we want to take it from a competitive defeat to a victory, but we're much closer than I thought we'd be
Northern Red
Considering our ball retention would embarrass a junior team we're doing well to be 3 points behind.

cidered abroad
Quote: "The other thing that is really important is (being) socially aware. We are not all from Bristol, we're not all from England, we're not all white, we're not all black, we're not all brown. We are all individuals and as I said to the boys what we are living here, we are a great example of how the world can be a better place. I have said look at all the backgrounds we have here, look at all the different educations that people have had, no one really cares because ultimately it is about respecting, appreciating and valuing everyone and I love it." I know it isn't football but the Head Coach of Bristol Bears is very close to all of us in Bristol and Bristol City FC. What a leader of people! 3

JBFC II
Good to see Hughes, Lahiff, Uren and Eden back from injury. That's a pretty cracking team, considering we're still short of 11 players. Im hopeful of a win, but this is Worcester so who knows!

Midred
Jack Willis playing for England again, did Bristol ask for their players last week? JBFC II
Interesting one tonight, on paper should be a tight game, Saints have close to a full side out and bris have plenty of omissions. In the awful weather it’s going to come down to who can gain superiority at scrum time, which is where I can see us overpowering them. Saints’ packs been mullered a fair bit recently, and ours is possibly the best in the league at the moment. Going to be an interesting one anyway, a bonus point would be a big statement
