Yeah - just heard driving back on RB that the Bears were 19-0 down and came back to win 21-19. Sounded like a incredible game.

They were 19-0 with just 10 minutes to go, 3 tries in 10 mins the last coming with literally seconds on the clock. Unbelievable comeback,  With Thacker now fit again they should be able to play their first choice team for Saracens and hopefully Quins.

Just watched the highlights CR and even tho I knew the result it was still thrilling to watch. Thackers break leading to the third try was terrific.

My buddy is a die hard Bears fan and watched the game on TNT 5 which is the equivalent to the red button I believe. He was obviously well chuffed!

The permutations are a nightmare, but I'm saying a Bears win over Sarries next weekend, and Exeter do us a favour by beating Quins, and we're all but there?

Not quite as we still have to play Quins last at the Stoop. It's going to be tight.

If we beat Sarries, and Quins lose at Exeter, then we should be good to finish above them.

All depends on bonus points. We could get 4 for the win and Quins get a losing bonus points which leave them only 3 behind.

If we get a bonus point win over sarries we’ll go ahead of them and into 3rd, potentially even into 2nd if bath lose

The Bears are on a roll having hammered Northampton and Newcastle. Wonderful comeback at Leicester ever since Pat Lam was ‘advised’ by SL to go back to playing ‘the Bears way’. The pep talk certainly worked!

I quite fancy the Bears to win at the Stoop.

Piers O'Conor leaving for Connacht in the summer.

No great surprise, he was excellent in the season we finished top but struggled to recapture that form since and has fallen out of favour in the last few months.

He was a hell of a signing. Loved watching him when he was on form.

TAKEN FROM:  Thank you to our 2023/24 leavers! - Bristol Bears Rugby

Bristol Bears can confirm 17 players who will depart the club at the conclusion of the 2023/24 season.

As in previous seasons, supporters will have the opportunity to celebrate and thank these players on Saturday following the round 17 clash against Saracens at Ashton Gate.

Negotiations with other players remain ongoing and the full 2024/25 retained list will be confirmed during the final week of the season.

Departing the Bears, our leading all-time Premiership points scorer Callum Sheedy joins Cardiff Rugby after 10 years at the club, while fellow centurions Dan Thomas, Piers O’Conor (Connacht) and Ed Holmes also depart after making an outstanding contribution to the Bears over the past seven years.

England international Kyle Sinckler will join French side RC Toulon after more than 50 appearances for Bristol Bears, while Scottish number eight Magnus Bradbury re-joins his hometown club Edinburgh after two seasons in the West Country.

“This time of the year is always difficult as we say farewell to some great people who have contributed significantly to the club, on and off the field, throughout their time with the Bears.

“We thank them for their hard work and commitment to our Vision, and they can all be very proud of their efforts and achievements here. Once a Bear, always a Bear.

“As we have done for the last 7 seasons, we will be honouring these players in-house this week as a team and there will be an opportunity for supporters to show their appreciation at Ashton Gate following the conclusion of the Saracens game on Saturday, May 11th.”
