All this talk about Tinman being sacked and the moaners ringing up Radio Bristol to vent their frustrations I think it is time for "some" Bristol City fans to get a reality check.

Brian Tinnion is a new wet behind the ears manager. He has a squad that is capable of competing at the right end of your division,he also has to work within the confines of a reduced playing budget.Remember Tinnion didn`t sign the busted flush known as Scott Murray.City couldn`t give the guy away now and his wages are a massive drain on your club.

No team has ever been relegated after the first 4 games and no team has ever been promoted after the first 4 games. The League is a marathon not a sprint and the majority of players that took you on that amazing unbeaten run last season are still with the club.

Give Tinnion a chance to find his feet he was a popular choice back in June when he was appointed it seems very premature to judge him on the 21st August after 4 games.

Tinnion needs all the fans to get behind him because in todays football financial world City certainly cannot afford to sack a manager who is 2 months into a 3 year contract.

Rome wasn`t built in a day and promotion was never won in the fisrt 3 weeks of August.

no Tins didn't sign him but most city fans wanted him back and the chairman made it happen. Reduced playing budget? where do you get that impression from - new signings, few players left, new deals based on performance and games - hardly a reduced budget!

no but it certainly makes it more difficult when we are already 10 points adrift of the top team!

yup popular with some, but not others, many cannot understand why a manager who got us to a play off final and 3rd the previous year was sacked - nothing other than top 2 will do this year and Tins will stand or fall on that basis.

Majority of fans are behind him and want to see him succeed, but frankly the desire and commtiment on the pitch will have to improve if that support is to continue!

no but having achieved 3rd 2 years in a row, we should be doing better with pretty much the same players plus some additions to the squad - at the moment it feels like we are going backwards.
