They can be filled with helium and tethered to the roof of the house or maybe strapped to the shed. Too big to "perch" on the roof of the car though. The P'boro' (and presumably every) branch of QD has 3 foot (1 metre) tall elves hats for sale. They are coloured red & white and keep their shape due to internal wires.
