I understand Bedminster FC, who played at Ashton Gate, threw in their lot with Bristol City FC in the early 1900's. BCFC thus gained Bedminster's players and the Ashton Gate football/cricket ground as it was then.

Why so called 'BCFC supporters' would not have St John's Lane at the top of their list Ray Graydon may only know ;);):P Are they Gasheads in disguise??? :D
