whooosh
I wonder how many 'Boro' fans will travel to all 3 away matches? Now that will be dedication.

22A
I'm sure Willsbridge Red will correct me, but late 60s/early 70s Saints met Newcastle in the League, home and away in the UEFA Cup and one, possibly both domestic cups all in the space of a few weeks. Some fans of both clubs went to all of the games.
Nogbad the Bad
Not so long ago, before penalties were absurdly brought in to decide cup replays, teams would often have a sequence of games against the same opposition. I seem to remember Arsenal/Sheff. Wed. having a marathon ( no doubt they'd call it snickers these days) cup tie in the 80's consisting of 3 or 4 replays with the decisive one taking place on a neutral ground ( Leicester?) All in fairly quick succession too, none of this wait 10 days til the excitement dies down and the police are apparently ready. Great Cup it was then, before all this 'must get a result' nonsense.
