Never to the dark side
I know it will be another two years before we play top flight football Interesting article in todays Daily Mail With the BBC taking control of the premiership from next season All highlights matches will have a commentator at every match So thier will be no voice( or dub) overs back at BBC sports head quarters One of the comentors lined up is our Number one fan JP This should include the highlights package from next seasons FA Cup matches Bet Jonathan pearce would love to commentate on as many city matches as available
Hodges17
But the question is....can even the Jonathan 'scintilating 0-0 draw' Pearce make you guys seem exciting? Only joking guys before you bite my head off and remind me that Rovers are shi*e. i know they are.

Hodges17
Dunno ,i try to ignore Jonathan Pearce as i dont rate him as a commentator or pundit. Enlighten me! Wasnt the Mickey Mouse cup final was it? That had 2 nationwide teams in it.

Matty H
Pierce has said recently that he doesnt like commentating on City games as they always seemed to lose when he did so for Radio Bristol. He expressed his apprehension at commentating on our LDV Final in Cardiff but did so in the end for 5 Live. So I guess the hoodoo is broken after that

NATCHER
I had a audio tape of Jonathan Pearce commentating on the 1986 Freight Rover Trophy Final, for G.W.R. I think. The pride, adrenalin and pure excitement poured out. Pure theatre. Poor choice of drink but great blag. Jonathan Pearce = Top Man. http://www.bbc.co.uk/fivelive/presenters/pearce_biog.shtml
Guest Red_Rat
Getting the Legend Jonathan Pearce to commentate on our games would be brilliant,as well as him being a fan,i like his commentary style,he brings life to the dullest games. It would be nice to have a regualr commentator for the club
