Robbored
None of those would be my "cult hero".Especially not Dziekanowski.Gerry Gow and Shaun Taylor would get my vote.

bh_red
Who decides who are the nominees. Some odd choices there.←It is decided by people who email the BBC Sport website, I did it myself a few months back.Went for Ago, Jacki and Tinnion. (though Goodridge was a closer choice)It's not neccesaryly the best city players but Cult Heroes. players who you always look back at with a Smile.then the 3 picked is probably a very good shout, would be good to see if the BBC find any old footage of Atyeo
foghornred
Strangely I voted for the one player that I had never seen play John Atyeo but his record speaks for itself.Jacki was a great player and personality and Tinnion has been a great servant to the club but nether can look back on a career like Atyoe's. Nibor
I must say I don't understand how anyone can think of cult heroes at BCFC and not say the words "Junior Bent".Nibor

BS4 on Tour...
Personally, I would go for Gerry Gow or Glyn Riley as our cult hero.
cider head
i agree with john ateyo no question, his long time service andgoal scoring record speaks for itself and turning down great clubslike liverpool and man united to stay at city others would be gonein a flash.BUT NO GERRY GOW? SCANDALOUS also geoff merrick, captin in top flight football and tomritchie 2nd to john ateyo in all time goal scorers.for long time service and games trevor tainton should be inwith a shout.brian tinnion for games and service but to be fair he is no gerry gow orgeoff merrick.bobby hutchingson the ONLY EVER captin to lift a trophy at wembley.DARIUSZ 'JACKI'DZIEKANOWSKI and BOB TAYLOR great players but were nothere very long to be a cult hero in my book. Rich-TWSC-
Is John Atyeo a "Cult Hero" or a bonafide club legend though? I made the same point for Don Rogers who won Swindon's poll, on Swindon sites (I voted Shaun Taylor)I interpret "Cult" as the players who weren't the best technically and weren't at the club 10 years but while they were at the club they'd spark a great rappor with the fans with the performances or antics!but that's just me! elko
Cult heroes I would interpret as not nessecarily the best players but ones who the crowd loved. Maybe Gerry Gow was both, I really don't know.Junior Bent would be mine, if only for those misses vs Liverpool.
