Definately Missed Wilkshire

Having had sometime to reflect on todays game its very apparent that Wilkshire was badly missed in central midfield today.Docherty is nothing like Wilkshire in his style and Docherty's qualities are more defensive. That was very obvious today.

City were poor going forward largely due to the lack of quality ball coming out of midfield especially in the 1st half when I can recall only one other chance apart from the goal.Peacock missed it.

Better in the second half with Bell getting more forward but untill the last 10 mins City didn't look like nicking a winner.Only then with Goodfellow looking sharp did it look as if City could win it.

Wilkshires guile and creativity was sorely missed and his absence was highlighted by Tinnion having a below average game.

It must be a concern to Wilson that Wilkshire will be unavailable for the crucial away games at H'pool and Grimsby.I think City have enough without him to see off Ch'field next week so thats not so worrying but whats the answer? Clist maybe? in a central role.

Over to you Danny...

It surely isn't right that the Olympic games (amateur games?) can take professional players away from their clubs for so long.

On Radio 5 earlier this week, there was comment that if FIFA does not sign up to the Olympic anti-doping policy, that football will be dropped from the games - so as yet, Wilkshire's absence could be in vain.

Lets hope that he does not pick up a injury during his time away.
