They signed a decent promising local striker before City could do it. If you had an offer to make it as a Pro from Rovers would you tell them to bugger off because you support City? Of course you wouldn't, because theres a chance it may never happen.Why the hell should we not go for a player because he's an ex Rovers player!? If Beckham, Rooney, Owen etc were all Gasheads would you say no to them as well?Presumably you hate Danny Coles as well? His desire to play for us should not be underestimated, he's got his heart set on AG and i think that's wonderful news, i'm that the move will happen and i'll be totally if he joins anyone else because he belongs at home, at the best City in the country. Not one of our strikers is over 24 and the closest thing we have to a specialist striking coach is Alan Walsh. Marcus could hopefully pass on some of his experience to Brooker/Lita/Heffernan/Gillespie and maybe they can have careers as successful as his.
