Football League Hate Bristol City

Recommended Posts

Interesting article in the Times on Monday

Tom Dart composed the following report

Work on the fixture lists begins two years before publication

nice to know the football league know who's going to be

relegated and promoted before a ball is kick in anger

A questionare is sent to all clubs requesting certain things

A total f 120 are recived considering there are 92 clubs

most clubs would only request one thing

So ours was the baloon fiesta(I presume)

Other rules are that the non league team coming

into the 2nd division are given a low profile game

to start thier league career not had chance to look at that situation

A computer based in Cheshire does most of the work

BOXING DAYS MATCHES ARE HAND PICKED. I REALLY DO WANT TO GO TO GILLINGHAM IN KENT ON BOXING DAY.

UNLESS THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE THINK GILLINGHAM IS IN DORSET

If you want to complain write to the football league

and address it to David Cookson

I'm going to check the last few years boxing day fixtures very shortly

Guess who Lincoln got at Home on Boxing day?

Yes, you have guessed it Boston United States of America

This is interesting. Bristol Rovers are seen as 'low profile' for Barnet.

Their egos must be bulging.

Although the article said that Northampton have an away fixture in August to avoid clashing with the towns balloon festival........ Do they have one?

I struggle to believe anything in the papers, when they are full of inaccuracies, I assume based on sloppy research and a lack of interest in the subject matter.

Yes...Northampton do have a balloon fiesta. Classic Gold radio always go on about it but never mention the Bristol one..

That probably came in when Scarborough came into the League and their first game was against newly relegated Wolves.ranting.gif

Thousands of Wolves ranting.gif fans turned up leading to mayhem in and around the ground, fighting on the terraces and at least one Wolves ranting.gif hooligan notoriously crashing through the roof of the stand onto the concrete terracing below.

Not the ideal introduction to eagerly anticipated League football for Scarborough and their fans.

Yea i do agree Gillingham is a bad place to go on boxing with a fat hang over!

Gillingham is the Bridgwater of the South-East and is therefore, always a bad place to visit.

City fans complaining about fixture fiddle shocker. Whatever next? biggrin.gif

I don't think they'll let Stalin into any matches, tbh.
