22A Posted January 24, 2004 Report Share Posted January 24, 2004 Just in case anyone is travelling to Grimsby by train next week, remember Grimsby play in Cleethorpes. DO NOT get off at the station named Grimsby Town! Stay on the train to New Clee. You then step onto Harrington Street, head South with the sea on your left and Blundell Avenue is 7th on the right. Anyone know of a decent pub in that area? For a fishing port, beware of the chippy! I know someone who went to Cleethorpes last February and bought fish & chips. The word on the streets is that he's going to fly straight to Grimsby airport, nip into the arrivals lounge for a duty-free haddock and then fly straight back to Lulsgate. Beats getting the bitter east wind blowing up your Urals at Blundell Park. He's not daft. Hang on...I've changed my mind on that last point.
