Guest maestro
I have heard a lot of talk about new managers on the forum, but, is this season a write off no matter who we get? Personally i think a promotion place cant be lost in september no matter what some 'fans' on the forum might say!Maestro

robins72
Look at Sheffied Wednesday Sturrock was appointed in November and they got in the play-offs. All is not lost yet maestro

Robbored
Theres well over a 100 points still to play for - anything is still possible.

kit
If Russell turns out to be the wonder player that we need then maybe. We need somebody to control the game from midfield.I think we are in a relegation dogfight.
Guest alex1089
We need an immediate impact from the new man and a big run of wins, We can still do this but it'll need a big impact from this new manager who will inject confidence and morale into the team! Swindon Hater
Could still happen. We just need a good new manager, new squad of players, new coaching staff and a new board.Apart from that, we should be OK.
Guest Tactical Genius
It is not a write off, we are still about 45 points from safety.
DolmanDudess
Not a right off quite yet... It looks extremely far from our grasp at this moment in time but with the right gaffer behind the boys, some confidence, disapline and motivation we might just be alright
Cider Red Sam
I think playoffs are now our realistic aim, and so long as we make 'em, anything is possible. Infact, it mite b better for us if we manage to sneek in rather than finish 3rd. Can't remember the last time a team finished 3rd in our division and got promoted. Also, look at Crystal Palace when Dowie took over, and as someone else mentioned Sheffield Wednesday with Sturrock.
StapleHillPhil
The task of overhauling the might of Southend and S****horpe looks beyond our team and so I'm writing off the season from a promotion viewpoint.I'm preparing myself to see City struggling to get themselves out of the relegation picture. Dave L
I certainly haven't written the season off yet, and will be off to Forest tonight hoping for the win that will kick start our season and create a wave of optimism for the new manager to pick up on. That win does need to come soon though.

Guest routabout
It all depends on who Mr Lansdown in his infinite and obviously superior wisdom, appoints as the new manager/management team.If he makes the right choice and brings in a 'serious' manager, then we still could turn this around. If he brings in the wrong people/person then we won't be going anywhere, with the possible exception of down, if his choice is wrong.
