Duncan Fletcher is not too impressed and Gough may now find it hard to get back in the squad......Well, there have been English players in the past who have chosen not to go on tours. The India/Pakistan tours are notoriously unpopular. Months away from home, strange environment, alien playing conditions etc., aren't everyone's cup of tea. Harmison dislikes touring. Botham was never keen on the Asian tours. And I can appreciate that few people want to spend all that time abroad when they could be at home with their families. Obviously, taking part in celebrity "Come Dancing" isn't going to take him to the other side of the world. But he would have been wise just to turn down the invitation to appear in the TV show. It looks as if he's devaluing the England team, whether he means to or not.
