richieb
Having left my dictionary at Bedminster Down School, I was wondering if GJ was affecting or effecting happenings at the Gate. ?Listening to his interview on 'world' tonite, it's clear that the guy has quite in influence on & off the field. He fillls you with confidence & it appears that he has some strong attributes when it comes to man-management.It's no wonder SL found him to be the right man when he met him. It's hard to believe that its been less that a fortnight since he breezed into the Gate. But what a breath of fresh air GJ has been.He certainly is having an effect within the fanbase & having an affect - b0llix's - is it effect or affect.Whatever it is GJ is an interesting guy to listen to.No wonder Richard Latham is enjoying his interviewing !!! Whirling Ted Smith
When it's the noun then we generally only need to use effect. Affect is usually for psycologists and other people interested in cerebral issues. When we use the verb, affect is more common meaning influence rather than effect meaning cause.
