Barry Fuller

Player Profile - Midfielder

Barry Fuller made great strides during his time with the Charlton Academy, and was rewarded with a professional contract in the summer of 2004.

He's the kind of player every manager longs for, with a never-say-die attitude and bags of commitment, he should be a regular in the reserves this season, and hopefully make his breakthrough into the senior squad over the next couple of years.

He was part of the championship-winning reserve team during the 2003/04 season and also likes to get forward and score the odd goal. Fuller scored in the Addicks' pre-season friendly with Welling United, which finished 8-0.

Despite still not making a breakthrough into the Charlton first-team, he remains a propsect for the future.

From the Carling website

Profile: Been a pro for a season now, he was a star in the clubs Academy side. Great in the tough tackles he has performed really well especially when the reserves won the treble in 2003/4

Plus I thought our Midfield was performing? And with the addition of Noble? Thought we needed a back up Striker, Left Mid and Left Defensive options?

If Noble and Russell get injured, we're a bit short. Skuse is not having a good run of form, Brown isn't fully fit and Wilkshire is too lightweight for away games. There's also a serious dearth of experience there (to which the solution is to sign a Premiership youth team player on loan  ).

Players coming in need to be much better than what we've got.Either that or leave things alone.

Anyone who is MUCH better than what we already have will play at higher standards and wont come to us
