Admin Ian M Posted July 28, 2006 Admin Report Share Posted July 28, 2006 I was relieved to see him go.A bad signing for you in my opinion. He can chip in with the odd goal, but is very lightweight, shies away from tackles and will go missing due to international call-ups. Those who say that he is 'too good' for us are ignoring the truth, which is that he never proved himself, even at City's level. And he was shite at the World Cup.It's worth noting that Guus Hiddink disagrees with your stated view.

Andre_The_Giant
It's worth noting that Guus Hiddink disagrees with your stated view. That's true, but I bet I've seen Wilkshire play many more times than Guus Hiddink has!I think he really went for it in training for the Ozzies and got on Hiddink's good side - he knew his performances for City were never going to be enough to secure him a decent move alone.Nothing personal with Wilkshire, he always seemed a professional, but he was never what was needed here at City.David Noble, on the other hand, I think will prove to be a CLASS ACT. The kind of 'creative' player we need.
