NO HE'S A #######

Now now the tales of Sexstone the red cider in hand swinging off a bar, jeans round his ankles singing drink up thy cider or the time he ran out of the East End in 76, fell on his arse, ripped his jeans but none of it mattered as he rolled onto the pitch because City were up will soon be told.

SEXY IS A LEGEND!

Why is he ?

I don't know why people keep dissing him on here?

He has a job to do and as far as I am concerned he does it well ...

He has produced additional revenue for the club and helped it to move forward as it continues to grow.

If we ever want to be in the upper ranks of English football then we need pro active forward thinkers like Sexstone to ensure the club grows off the field and to recognize & identify opportunities to maximise its revenue as much as possible.

Good reply Marc.

To be honest, ive known Colin for a few years now, and with me being involved in City sponsorship, advertising, hospitality etc etc, he really is doing a cracking job, and the best thats been in that position for as long as i can remember.

Must give him credit, and yes, has increased the revenue loads since he,s been there.

Got his heart in the club to, and thats what really counts!!!!!

totally agree, Sexstone has dragged this club into the modern age behind the scenes, the summer concerts are mainly down to him, although personally I haven't been a fan of anyone who has but they all make the club lots of money! good enough for me!

Heart from years of dissapointment & paying to get in like the rest of us and no doubt watching in 82 with the other 3999 ?

Is he really a fan?

I had to take something down to the club yesterday and I met him (CS) while I was there, he was talking to my Dad who told him this year was his 60th year as a City supporter, Colin replied that he had been watchng the club since 1954, so I would guess he's been a supporter of the club a lot longer than most on this Forum.

how many concerts did we have before sextone came into the club. how much revenue have they brought in. to be honest before we poached him from glous off field we were a shambles. now if we could have a team on field as good as they are off field we would be fighting to get out of the league above us not struggling to get out of the 1 we are in

So is he a fan or not?

Oddly there is one band living locally playing tonight at Westonbirt who would sell out the Gate who really are fans. Not seen at City yet.

Another well thought out post again.

Thanks for that oh so valuble contribution to the thread.

I have no problem with encouraging families (£££), I understand that this is the way the industry has gone (£23 for third flight Football deemed as acceptable and the norm), my main issue is that there are some who enjoyed Football just the way it was before the comercialisation of the industry and now feel that what was theres has been scantly sold and there is nowt they can do about it.

Colin Sexstone, with suppossed authorety (and as a fan), has done nowt and cares little for those who share my opinion.

Totally irrelevant if he is a fan or not. He is the Chief Executive, employed by the board to work solely on the business side of the football club. We may play football, but off the pitch we are now a company. Which football team he supports is therefore irrelevant as what he does has nothing to do with the football we play, and i also think that even if he was a Rovers fan for example it would not matter in the slightest. Give me one reason why a chief executive being a fan or not a fan is relevant to anything he does?

Can't see the issue of relevance being bought into it by the original poster.

Just saw it as a simple question my self.

''Chief Executive'' is the title.

I don't know the figures but if the improvement of the ground with no standing areas, or smoking areas, and higher ticket prices makes it better for the club in terms of funds then that is why he decides to do it. Obiously high prices are not good, but we would rather the club make money, than none at all.

Somethings got to pay MS wages

Well Wurzel, ive seen him when the City,s scored, and belive me he DOES behave like a fan :farmer:

Mmmm, waving his tanned booty at Lansdown and high fiving Dawe does not count as no fans i know do that.

A man of his years should be able to recall Jimmy Mann Beating Shilton with a free kick that started in Greville Smythe Park or in later years the great Gus Caesar being mesmorized everytime the ball came near him.It 's up to you to Arny to shmooz up and get these doubts cleared up but i would'nt trust the bloke as he would soon spin it on it's head and start on the "have you seen our premier club"?

Is Gary Johnson a fan?

I think he's the Manager!

Sorry, I ask again.

What is the difference between him & GJ? You said important employee didn't you?

Why is whether the Chief executive of a listed company a fan of the club of any relevence?

I assume you are simply stating that he is lying when he says he is a fan? So could I assume if he had the badge tatooed on his ample rear that would be enough?

What does a fan have to behave like? How are you a fan? What do we do that makes you or I a fan? Don't keep ranting, simply explain?

loyalty springs instantly to mind to keep on going through adversity e.g 1979 -82

A sense of belonging as i feel equally at ease talking to a shirt wearing fan or one of the lads from the Lions because we share a common passion based on our and the clubs history.

I will toss in my thirty years of commitment, pride in BCFC and it's community.

I am getting all touchy feely & may have to hug a tree in Ashton.
