Red Wardy
Super Bobby Taylor and The Goat. These boys banged them in from the off. Often scoring braces and hat-tricks in the process. It's interesting to see that none of our players are in the goal-scoring charts, despite our excellent placing in the table. On the plus side, we have Steve Brooker to return, but can any of our strikers be prolific? If not, will there be shattered dreams come early May?
robins72
If Jevons can find his scoring boots he could easily get 20 goals as could Brooker. All down to fitness though.
Robbored
Johnson is confident that Jevons will get 20 this season and he should know.Goater often went 3 or 4 games without scoring and frankly without doing much at all but then he would pop up with a brace in consequetive games.Maybe Jevons is of the same mould.Lets hope he bags a couple at the City ground on Saturday. Bristol Boy
The first thing that needs to happen with our strikers is that they actually play.Brooker & Showumni have played 7 & 6 games respectively and, in fairness to big Enoch, he's already notched four goals!Whatever you might say about Jevo, at least he's been fit for all but one game and has a reasonable goal ratio.Winning this division is all about keeping your key players fit. Port Said Red
I'm never sure that relying on one prolific striker is the best way to go. I would have thought that sides (like ours currently) who have goal threats from several positions are harder to defend against than one man teams. Also when you lose that player due to injury or have to sell him you are screwed,
robins72
Be interesting to look at Lutons stats from two seasons ago. They seemed to score alot of goals from all areas. Not sure how many Howard and Enoch scored that season.
