greenun
Humility The quality or condition of being humble. Following their first defeat at Twickenham in 23 matches, Sir Clive Woodward wasn't looking for excuses. See the excerpt below from The Irish Examiner. The England coach, Clive Woodward, was admirably magnanimous. "Every aspect of our performance was way below what we expected but you have to give credit to Ireland for that. "We nudged them a couple of times in the scrums and got a try directly from one of those, but Ireland competed there pretty vigorously and, to be honest, they destroyed our line out. They targeted our jumpers, competed for everything and came away with a vast amount of possession." This was a day when the better team won and we have no complaints other than being very disappointed." Compare that to the evasive, fluffy response from our spin doctor-in-chief. http://www.bcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsD...~497299,00.html My point? WHY CAN'T OUR MANAGER TELL THE TRUTH FOR A CHANGE! We were'nt good enough to beat Stockport because WE DIDN'T TRY HARD ENOUGH. Cut the c--p Danny and concentrate on the areas that need improving. Robbored
Didn't try hard enough? or weren't good enough on the day. Weren't good enough on the day would apply to the England rugby team last Saturday. On paper England should have won by 10 or 15 points but the opposition prevented that by employing the relevant tactics. You could say the same about City and Stockport.
