Guest MrT
I don't know what the forum ettiquete for posting links is but I thought this video clip of a Holloway interview was pure class: http://www.boreme.com/bm/OCT03/a/m_football_interview/fr.htm I've heard the interview clip before but this is the first time I've seen it. I hope you enjoy. Dare I say it but it almost makes me like the man
Bow_Legged_Chicken
Yeh, the bloke is a nice bloke really, spoke to him a few times, used to go in me sister chippy and stick up for her against gas heads. His interviews are nothing short of legendary!! If only Wilson could come out with stuff as good as that rather than the boring old we were ok, could of done better, but did ok, no matter what week in week out. brady bunch
dare I say it, but I am an olly addict, I cannot get enough of his daft quotes. certainly puts Dannys bland comments to shame. Can't say I would have him as a coach or manager, but would love him as our "rent a quote" press officer!!
NATCHER
Would you rather have a manager who entertains you with an after match interview and have you in third, or a manager who makes honest but maybe boring post match comments but sits one place higher ? Robbored
The fact is that Holloway is passionate about football but he lacks the eloquence of a Souness or Wenger - so he reverts to his familiar Bristolian burr and quirky analogy's to make his point. Most of them are real gems.
