bh_red
boring draw, however any home game would have done, and that's what we have got
maidenheadred
As it is at home I fancy are chances, Will be tough but I think we could well do it.not the most inspiring draw i guess - but as someone else mentioned a while ago, this does give us an interesting comparison between where we are now, and where we want to be in 12 months time (12th place in the championship*). City to take it 2-1.*although people of course will still moan if we are 12th in the championship in 12 months time. because it would have meant losing some football games... madmax
If we think/know we are Championship material then this is one way of finding out. If we want promotion, this is a test.MM

cidercity1987
I fancy our chances in this game ,But why do we always get the boring ties?I don't think this is boring at all. We could have got a far worse one. I reckon it'll be a good match between 2 evenly matched teams. Coventry would start as slight favourities but not by much. bartolona
This should be a good game, with our home record against a team from a higher league has all the makings of a good cup tie,Cov will bring a few down so just hope more of our supporters make the effort. 22A
OK, City v Cov is nothing special so don't expect it to be televised. However this game is winnable and as others have posted, will be a test of how we measure up against an average Championship team.Several all Prem and all Championship ties were drawn today, so IF City should win we MIGHT get a winnable 4th round tie as well. I am not saying City will win the Cup, but given our recent form, we could see a promotion run and two decent cup runs in the same season.
