They wern't too bad I don't think!

Was just a bit of shouting at our fans, yeah they all stood where they shouldn't have but it was all quite funny to be honest!

At least they didn't throw chairs which allegedly the Swindle scum did! Although it was probably the Gas that did it but yeah!

Did you see what happened before the game? Was manic!

Probably why there was such big queues to get into the ground because everyone else was watching.

From what i saw, I was crossing the road by the mercedes garage and looking over to my left I think it was the 'wall fans being escorted by the OB. Then their was our fans running onto the road and shouting abuse at them, then they all went onto the field where the police eventually broke them up... I didnt see alot of it, i just wanted to get in the ground, where i was met with massive cues and missed the goal! (although i did see it go into the back of the net)

The little 16 yr old scumbags running onto Ashton Park trying to look hard should have been met with a wall of truncheons and given a good hiding... or better yet they police should have got out of the way and let a couple of Millwall pensioners give it to them. Those toss pieces and the junior d### brains in the Williams who felt the need to run over to the entrance as some Millwall fans came in late are the reason the club has an excuse not to open the east end. They don't even seem to know how ridiculous they look.

Nothing happened and it wasnt manic. Just a police escort with a couple hundred spotty kids in it from London. There Dads were FAR more scarey 20 years ago.

If that was manic, what would you say if someone actually threw a punch...... a riot!!!

Silly thing to do, but it was hardly hooliganism. Some chants back and forth, harming no one - Even the police and stewards were very relaxed about it.

On the whole I think the whole day has been run perfectly and if that is our highest potential flashpoint this season the club will be laughing.

You joking? they were all a load of thugs :noexpression: (well not all, but most)

Made me laugh when one of them fell over the chairs into the netting though :innocent06:

Do you know what it's like to support your team away? They came and the cheered, chanted and supported their side, that's what real fans do matey.

If City get promoted, just watch when Sunderland and other well supported away teams come to town.

Sorry but all it would have taken was one of those monobrains to do something over the top to light the touch paper and there'd have been a serious problem. I couldn't give a toss about chanting, they should have stayed in their seats instead of going within throwing range.

If you want the East End open, and I personally think fans should be allowed in there, these little #######s are the ones stopping you and costing us fans money because we have to have games policed.

I'm still struggling to see the problem here. Look at it this way, the police and stewards seemed less concerned than you are.

I see where you are coming from, but it was a nothing and simply a minor point that detracts from what was a quality day

I don't think you grasp the essentials here.

The point is that some City fans demonstrated today that they cannot be trusted to behave appropriately. You may play it down as a bit of harmless fun but it could have led into something far more serious.

I doubt the club will see it as 'a silly thing to do'.

Good point, I lived in Ashton Road when they came down in 84/85 and I remember that there was a pitched battle in Greville Smyth Park. I think that's the same time when the pub that's now The Ropewalk got trashed.

I have to agree with you there to me there wasn't anything wrong it was just a bit of banter signing and that didn't see a punch thrown all day.

Duh....

What would have happened if the old bill weren't there?

Can't even you figure out that you've just given the old bill the perfect excuse to demand that they police any game where the east end is open?

Could have but didn't is another way of saying will do another time.

Nothing happened AT ALL today. Bit of posing, bit of shouting etc etc. don't try and make some kind of big deal about it. You need to chill out and have a smoke mate........

From where i was sitting, I didnt hear any cheering, or especially chanting/singing. When the chavs came in late, all they was interested in was shouting abuse at the williams supporters, and throwing objects.

And yes, i do know what it's like to support my team away? not sure why you asked though?
