Poor Micky, i understand GJ and our boys have just sealed his fate at the Ricoh, he'll be gone by tommorow. :crying:

Bit harsh really, they were beat by a much better football team, hardly fair Man U thrash sides every other week and their managers don't get sacked.

I really don't think the Coventry fans/board are giving us enough credit for our win in sacking him after this game, like "OhMyGod! if you get beat by Bristol City you have to leave now because there apple pickers don't you know from Ooh-Aaar land and chew straw and stuff".

Must be the end for Adams. There was a lot of 'we can't get beat by these west country minnows' coming from cov though. Which is why its good we beat them. And Paul merson did say "Bristol City thoroughly deserve to win". But I think he was just trying to rub salt into the wound for coventry.

not yet but 5 live spoke to a director after the game and are to meet with adams tomorrow at 11am

and the guy said on the radio that this can't go on.

by the way most coventry fans were saying well played to bristol city they looked like a prem side tonight.

Had a text from a Cov fan we met in the pub last weekend. Said they had more possession but we finished better. Great atmosphere created by all city fans. Bring on the boro!!

"Mickey Adams has been sacked by Coventry City after his side crashed out of the FA Cup.

Coventry's owner-chairman Geoffrey Robinson and his board made the decision immediately after his side were embarrassed at home by Bristol City last night, losing their FA Cup third round replay 2-0.

The end of the 45-year-old's two-year reign at the Ricoh Arena will be officially announced later today.

It is understood that Adams met with City officials earlier this morning to negotiate a compensation package.

Coventry have suffered a dismal run of form in recent months and sit in 16th place of the Championship, hovering just eight points off the relegation zone. They have earned just one point from their last six league games.

Adams is the ninth manager in the Championship to be sacked this season.

After goals from Scott Murray and Enoch Showunmi put Bristol City through, Coventry's managing director Paul Flether said: "Mickey Adams is an absolutely lovey guy but it just isn't working for him at present.

"He is not getting results and that is what he is paid to do. We are all answerable at the end of the day."

Iain Dowie is a front-runner to take over, along with Bryan Robson, Mark McGhee and Nigel Worthington. "

Before appointing Adams, Coventry wanted Gary Johnson. How different things might be for both of us now!

Its awful in this day and age that managers come and go so easily-Adams is the 9th sacking in the Championship this season, Shocking!

Greavesy used to say " its a funny ol' game ", Nowt funny for Adams today.
