tompo
The meeting to discuss the East End and other ways of improving the matchday atmosphere at Ashton Gate has been arranged. It is at 7pm on Tuesday 30 January at Ashton Gate.Representatives from the ST will be attending as will those with an interest from the club. This will include the likes of Steve Lansdown, Colin Sexstone, Keith Draisey etc. The ST has presented a lot of evidence to the club and we are aware of the main points in favour of opening the East End. However, the ST has have probably gone as far as we can on our own. Over 3,200 people signed the petition or indicated their support in response to the ST Survey. What we really need now is about dozen or so of those fans to come forward and to help put the case in favour of opening the East End.Please PM me or Stu Rogers (Thatcham Red) if you are interested and willing to attend. This is probably the best (and possibly only) chance to do something positive about the East End. It will be open on Saturday. It should not be necessary to say this but any hint of trouble will seriously weaken our case. If you have been lucky enough to get a seat in the East End on Saturday please, please bear this in mind.
Robbored
Well done the Trust and the club for arranging such a meeting. It provides a great opportunity for those advocates of the EE like NickJ,Wtfigo and North Street et al to air their views to those at the club who make the decisions. sephjnr
would it be cyncial to suggest that a tit-for-tat resumption of discussion about the new stand takes place, now that A) the Gas have had planning permission accepted, B) we've got more time to arrange catering contracts (tsk), and C) that the Premier Club hasn't worked out as Colin had expected? tompo
Bumping this back to the top.Very tepid response so far. As well as the petition organisers and ST board members, only a few other fans have come forward. I'm sure that of the 3,000 or so that signed the petition there must be a few more who would like to go the extra mile for a cause that must be dear to their hearts.
