Will 83 Points Be Enough?

On average, over the last five seasons 84's been enough.

GJ's target is 83, if we beat Forest and he could be right.

This is how I think it'll pan out:

Forest.......0

Swans......1

Yeovil.......3

Rother......3

7 from 12 at home

Gillingham.............1

Millwall.....3

Car..........1

5 from 9 away

Points.......86

P7 W3 D3 L1

Hopefully that'll be enough and only chronic injuries to key players or amazing form from Forest & Scunny will change that.

It's quite possible that Forest could get as many as 14 points (W4 D2 L0) from their last six games, which look relatively straightforward if everything goes to form (and yes, I realise it may not). That would give them 84 points excluding anything they take from the match against us. So...

If we win on Saturday, we should need another 8 points (W2 D2 L2) to go up

If we draw on Saturday, we should need another 11 points (W3 D2 L1)

If we lose on Saturday, we could need another 14 points (W4 D2 L0)

Given our last six fixtures, we need to win on Saturday!

91 or less will win the title and you're madly optimistic based on our current home form.

BB just because he doesn't agree with you, it doesn't mean his predictons are less sensible than yours. We normally perform in big games at the gate(rover excluded), so i don't see why we can't win our remaining home games.

I didn't see us winning two of our last six home games but that's just what we did. We've won four games on the trot once in 39 matches, three games on the trot twice, so, yes, it's possible.....but likely or sensible :disapointed2se:

Of course it's possible and Rovers might make the play offs-Not likely though, is it??

We normally perform in big games

Really??

Yes, Boro and coventry this season. Swansea, Yeovil last season. Just to name a few!

We drew the home games with Coventry & Boro despite being 3-1 up in one, so they're hardly shining examples.

We won the Swansea game at home, it's true but they were out of form at the time.I won't mention the away game.

We drew with Forest at home, have already lost to them and Yeovil away, so, as I have said, we COULD do it, I just think that it's wildly optimistic, although nobody will be happier than I, if we do.

City's inconsistancy has worried me all season and continues to do so now. None of us know how City will perform come Saturday despite impressive returns in terms of points over the last 8 games.

We could come out full of confidence and be 2-0 up inside 20 mins but just as likely come out, be dreadfull and struggle to string two passes together. You just can't tell.

Most of us would not have expected max points from visits to Chesterfield,Crewe and Donny but then again most of expected City to beat lowly Bradford. I'll bet the prediction league has its lowest points tally ever!

If its not a double bind - I'm both optimistic and pesimistic about the Forest game.Probably be a draw then...
