I don't understand how the club (or anyone else) can predict 10,000 S/T's ??

8000 existing S/T's

Club expect to sell 10,000

therefore 2000 "new" S/T buyers expected assuming all existing S/T's renew

6400 sold to date (source EP)

Existing S/T's (numbering 8000) have until Friday to renew their seats, but supporters who were not S/T holders last year will already have bought by now - won't they? Knowing that existing S/T holders would want to hang on to their money until this week who (ie new buyers) would wait until NEXT week or later & risk the "price rise" the Sexstone has stated will happen when 10,000 were sold.

Also new buyers would want to get the best seat selection before they go and these new buyers have no financial incentive to hold off untill this week - so would have bought by now - yes?

If you agree then it means that 4400 existing S/T's have renewed so far with a massive 3600 planning to renew in the next 3 days??

Colin Sexstone said in the EP

"There are a lot of potential new buyers waiting for the best seats to become available and anyone not renewing this week runs the risk of losing out."

Are there really people who want to buy for the first time and will risk getting a poor seat in the hope that some existing S/T's in a prime seat will not renew and give their seat up after finally reaching the Championship.

He'll be telling us next that people are waiting for the price to rise before buying!

It's the same sort of prediction as "whiter teeth in just 6 weeks" or "BANG and the dirt is gone".

"There are a lot of potential new buyers waiting for the best seats to become available and anyone not renewing this week runs the risk of losing out."

Awesome market research or powers of telepathy - you decide!

Most likely we will break 8k this week and then sell very, very few after. 15-16k for the first home game dropping back sharply to 12.5k or so thereafter is my prediction - and the average attendance at the end of the season is the important measure.

Once again the stick rather than the carrot approach from CS. When will this man ever learn that football fans like to feel appreciated ... and not unreasonably dislike being bullied!
