We were under the cosh for most of the second half when Finnbogason came on, so I would think it was difficult for him to impress if the ball was in our half all the time.

to be honest, every time i hear news that he's been linked with this club or that club, the more i suspect its just his agent trying to boost the value of his player.

It wasn't just Finboglason that didn't impress Johnson,niether did the Argentinian Gimenez at left back.

Publically stating that niether player 'did enough' is typical Johnson.He's letting us know that he's not prepared to allow any player to float along in the comfort zone - triallist or not.He's also letting the players know that they can't afford to simply turn up to earn a contract.They have to be aware of his emphasis on the work ethic he's instilled at City.
