Dorset_Cider
1979-1983 also saw Bristol and Bristol City FC hit by a massive Margaret Thatcher Tory toff/snob idiot inspired recession. Business failures and massive unemployment rates hit the BCFC supporting South Bristol heartlands very hard. There were quite a few City supporters that had to give up watching City regularly - not because of our lower league status but simply because they couldn't afford it. No job - no money - thank you Thatcher you Tory cow - Moooooooo.Thatcher and her Tory cronies would live out the rest of their days in prison cells if I had my way. The industrial and economic sabotage inflicted on the people of Bristol by Thatcher and her Tory toff/snob cronies should not go unpunished.What.......... So Tony and now Brown are going to make it all better OC 1645............. Yeah it's a better world we live in nowWell no actually it's not...... Come the revolution........ OC 1645 ........ Come the revolutionMrs. Thatch has more in common with OC than Blair & Brown ever will have

In the time of Oliver Cromwell Margaret Thatcher would have surely been burned as a witch. Her late husband Dennis should have kept her in check by regularly whacking a stick across her arse. Bristol Boy
not wishing to be pedantic but if i remember correctly the top flight of football was called the first division when we were there bristol boy if you wanna talk history do it in the right contextYou are being pathetic, never mind pedantic and I hate people who think they're texting and write in lower case all the time.Try some full stops and commas as well, then remove your head from your arse and you'll be fine i hate these post 1992 fans that only know the top flight as the "prem"Post 1992?? I "hate" these people who "hate" everyone we were a first division clubHonest? we had bad managementBest Manager we've ever had in Alan Dicksand bad decisions were made it has happend twice maybe just maybe we are 3rd time lucky with a level headed board and a good tactical manager that does not want to bust the club by other clubs holding us to ransomSo Trundle at £1m and £10kpw fits that description, does it? because we have been promoted have faith and trust whoi thought we were going to be here 2 yrs ago when the "magnificent seven" arrived from all over when tinman took charge we are in the second tier of football enjoy it don't over analyse it its not worth it find something to do with your summer or what we have of one anyway.I've got plenty to do and you've got the "I've completely missed the point" award sewn up and "The longest sentence without punctuation or clear meaning award" is pretty much in the bag as well
Bristol Boy
I see - you meant Trundle , yes I know - believe under league rules that when a player reaches 33 that entitles him to a free transfer when his contract ends. so even on a 2 year deal he will be 33 when it ends and thus a "free".As I posted earlierTrundle costs you moneyNaismith (or similar) MAKES you moneyShows we are desparate to get someone (anyone?) inCodeRedWe could have both players and how good would that be??Actually, we know Trundle can score goals and create them, but we don't know if he can do it at this level. Then there's Naismith who could be great, will definetly cost about double.........and could be the next Lee Miller.Food for thought mate.Food for thought. Miller scored in the second level of Scottish football, which IS conference standard at best. Naismith scored against the top clubs. There's a risk in any signing, I'd rather mitigate that a bit by having half a chance of making enough cash to by two quality players if we ever have to sell.
