as stated in endless other postings on here, it's going to be SINGLE TIER STAND it's all planning permission will allow, their isn't the space there to build a 2 two stand without serious costing issues and the extra costs needed to develop 2 tier stand aren't worth the money for the amount of extra seats it will bring

The original plan was for a two tier stand.Remember, the one with Exec Boxes, Buy-A-Brick-Debentures-Exec Club??

The two tier stand was abandoned for cost reasons, nothing else-not planning (that applied to the Atyeo) There is the space.

IF the club say they're building a one tier stand, which they have, that's fine, but until the Williams is rebuilt it will only marginally increase capacity (750-1,000) and for £8m, that seems expensive.

Don't think the capacity increase concerns them, the revenue for boxes and conference facilities on non-matchdays is more important. :dunno:

is there actually the space though? they have to build on what land is currently used so it get a 2 tier stand into that space isn't going to be cost effective in the slightest, if it was a case of getting double the seats into a stand for double the price then fair enough, but due to the lack of space, it will cost nearly triple the cost for double the seats

Ag is severely behind in ground dev. All premiership (bar Fulham) and 19 Champiosnhip clubs have better grounds. When the Gas get their new stadium, we will look even worse. Only the Atyeo is modern. We needsubstantial investment, and fast. East End to a two tier 7500 capacity stand, and the Williams to a 12 to 13 thousand capacity stand. The Dolman and the Atyeo can be sorted out if we ever get to the Prem.

Spot on Billy, but still fear that pulling stands down, with no revenue from that end for 18 months or so, could be tough for the club.

As much as it p@@@@ a few off, new stadium would be the best shout

no what pisses people off is maybe, is that you keep saying this, but the eternal question is STILL........where?

it's an impossible question to answer as neither Bristol club has found a suitable site in Bristol in 15 years of looking, so what chance is there of finding a site now?.........none
