Bristol Boy
Sounds like a fiddle.Buy a membership for £1 and then they can charge away fans more.Without a memebership scheme they couldn't do that.

Redtucks
I sent the following e-mail to PNE on saturday morning:"I have already purchased tickets at £25 each from the Bristol City ticketoffice for the Preston v Bristol City game due to be played at Preston on29th September 2007.However I believe that home fans are able to obtain tickets for the samegame at substantially reduced prices via a £1 "membership" scheme. As my understanding is that tickets for away fans should be available at no more than the price for home fans, I would be grateful if you would confirm whether Bristol City fans are able to obtain a similar reduction in price by paying a similar £1 "membership" fee.If not, I can only conclude that this is an example of sharp practice to fleece away fans."I have just received the following reply:"We have introduced a new membership scheme for the home supporters only, wedo not offer memberships to away fans. The away seating is priced differently to the home seating, this decisionwas made by the club and is in accordance with the rules set by the footballleague. If you wish to speak to someone about this matter in more detail then pleasecontact 0870 442 1964 and ask for the General ManagerRegardsTicket Office"Not very satisfactory. So they are fleecing away fans! Chappers
How about.....LET IT GO MATE! I will be going to support the lads. I'll just have one and half pints less. Yeah, its annoying but there you go! It's why Clubs continue ripping off fans, they just accept it and convert the rip-off into pints of beer. This is a total rip-off as they are using a dodgy loophole to breach Football League rules, but it seems that the authorities and fans just put up with it. Personally I think the idea of giving no Comps to PNE is best, hit those responsible, I'm sure that Club officials can afford a ticket, after all it's only 10 G&T's!! rockin-robin
Well, I think NTTDS has a valid point in raising this, and thanks to him for doing so.I'll be going but I won't be buying their progamme or spending any dosh at their ground - ticket only. That's my litte insignificant protest, but it makes me feel better.Yeah, i'll second that. I wasn't having a go at NTTDS but I think what he is doing will be in vain. It will only discourage people from going and supporting the team in what is another very hard game.Surely another mini protest some way may help get the point across? Guest Tafkar
must admit having skimmed this forum for months before joining, NTTDS was a member I found slightly eccentric at times (no offence mate!) but he is onto something here, this is a disgrace by the Preston lot, whether it is within the rules or not, whether coming by car, train or coach the away fans from City will end up paying probably over double what the Preston fans will for their match-day, this coupled with a £4 hike on ticket charges! It's a sham and Preston are a disgrace to the Football League for taking this approach, in my opinion.Saying that - I will be there!
Bristol Boy
Dead Easy-Merchandise + Food & Drink Boycott.Don't buy and extra thing apart from your ticket that way you can cheer the lads on and punish PNE in a very well behaved way.Wouldn't hurt to do the same at AG and then all of these robdogs would get the message.I noticed that the number to complain on is 0870 as well

screech
Its only £4!!!!!!!!!!!Well. next year it may be 5 then 6 then 7 etc....The point is the away fans have no choice but to pay the extra, it can add up quite quickly if the whole family are going, the home fans don't pay it so why should we.The £4 extra is not much on its own, everyone can afford that, but if your work colleagues were getting paid extra for doing the same thing as you, wouldnt you demand the same pay. It's the principle of the whole thing at stake, not the money.

Geoff65
I noticed that the number to complain on is 0870 as well www.saynoto0870.comBCFC Ticketline number: 0871 222 6666 or 0117 9630607 (Ticket office manager)PNE - 01772 693300 - ask for the ticket office manager.Just a note - most large organisations have a fax number which isnt an 0870 number in PNE case their fax number is : 01772 693366 - usually the whole of their telephone numbers are on the same prefixes with the number 00 at the end for the switchboard - just ask for the ticket office manager.
