Rip Jock Rae

Jock did a great job behind the scenes for our club for many years.

I hope someone who knows a bit more detail than me can put together a list of the players we all watched that he brought to us, I think people will be astounded.

Met him once or twice and he was as cynic says a true gent.

RIP.

RIP Jock.

Lived a couple of streets away and drank in the local pub.

Knocked on our door when I was a kid, wanting me to train with the other youngsters down at the City ground. I was out and my Dad said no because he felt I needed to concentrate more on my schoolwork, not that I did.

Never found this out until years later, and it's the one thing I'll never forgive him for....

:ranting:

Great scout and solid member of Bristol City...many a good young'un found thanks to Jock

RIP...

Totally agree. Jock was one of the unsung heroes and played a big part in City getting into the old first division.

Commiserations to the family and friends of a seriously nice man.

I was lucky enough to have met him on several occasions and he will be sadly missed.

Jock Rae spotted my brother when he was playing for Thornbury and signed him up as an associate schoolboy :)
