bransonmo Posted December 31, 2007 Report Share Posted December 31, 2007 Carle has played as a midfield playmaker. Thats LJ's position for the last 2 seasons, not Nobles. Noble has been playing forward in the hole, and not in the midfield since the season GJ arrived. LJ needs to be concerned and so does Artus who was the heir apparent and will be pushed down the list with Skuse. Both GJ and SL have made the comment that we will only be signing players better than those we have. One third above average, one third average and a third below average. He has not been outstanding, creating or scoring goals, imo just about average overall but doing his best, no doubt about that. If he was the quality creative midfield man we need at this level , then Carle would not be required. I have a problem with the non players in here who say Noble is unfit ? If Noble was unfit then thats a situation for the coaching staff. Since October why have they been unable to get him fit with the same training as other players. Surely thats up to them to identify the problem and fix it. Not every player requires the same schedule, some need more training than others. Again thats up to our coaching staff, they have had nearly 4 months to get Nobles schedule right . Get them on the ball, or have blood tests done on Noble to see if he is undoing good training via personnal problems. The club deserves answers, its paying out the fans money for performances. Somebody on the BCFC staff need to take this in hand. For too long its been Noble unfit or LJ not consistant enough. Perhaps they've asked the same question and decided Carle could be the answer. Perhaps they've asked the same question and decided Carle could be the answer.same thing can be said about Noble, some decent performances followed up by some terrible performances which have resulted in him being subbed at Half Time and to be honest, as a player who has spent most of this season playing in the hole, how many goals has he scored? and how many times has he actually been a goal threat? like today, he isn't.Think the last sentance sums it up nicely and is something that has been showing for a while, when they are both in the team for 60-70mins or so it works, but it means playing both of them and changing the formation completely which results in today performances when we have one up front and very little goal threat despite creating some good chances into the box.think they are possibly looking at Carle as the answer who can be the right type of creative player alongside Marvin Elliott, which will hopefully mean a switch away from this silly 4-4-1-1 formation Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Perhaps he's getting fitter. We know he can get fit enough to do 90 from seasons past, and there can't be any doubt about his ability. I thought that Noble was poor today compared to the rest of the team. First half he was ok but he needs to get into the box more. I didnt think he was effective at all in the second half and it was his wayward header that led to the Coventry Goal.
