Is Playing Monday An Advantage Or Disadvantage?

could work both ways. if the 3 around us win on saturday then there will be hugh pressure on us to beat palace monday night.

in saying that at least we know what we would need to do.

however, if any of them slip up, what a great boost it will give the club.

Makes no odds in my eyes - we need a win full stop - whatever the others do or don't do.

All valid debate but the advantage to us above the others is that we have more time to rest players from Tuesdays game and return journey . Any slight knocks gives them more recovery time . Nice to plan the revenge on the Palace a little longer .

Thats right but one advantage of having a couple of extra days off is that it gives those players with knocks like Carey and Adebola more recovery time.

With luck Johnson will have a fully fit squad to choose from on Monday. That may not have been so had City been playing on Saturday.

Down side is that we get a day less to prepare and recover for the following Saturday.

I didn't think West brom and Stoke were playing this weekend?

Stoke play Scunny at home on friday and WBA have Coventry in the FA cup.

Good to know that if we win on monday we could be 5 points clear of West Brom (and their game in hand is away to Wolves)...

Hadn't thought of it that way - the extra time does indeed give the lads a little more respite. No excuse for not getting all 3 points then!

C'MON YOU REDS!
