It looks increasing likely that Trundle will start on Sat, just watched some You tube vids of his time at Swansea and the boy has some skills! From what I have seen and heard He hasn't yet showed his talents fully yet at city, reasons unknown, championship players that much better, not sure!.

The way it looked, he went over to Plym muff fans on sat and warmed up in front of them just for the buzz, he going to love this sat! I have a feeling this could be the start of Trun at the city!

Anyone else got any thoughts?

So you think he should start based on YouTube footage?!?!?

In that case - there is a little chinese guy who does all sorts of tricks on YouTube - maybe we should start him too! Cant play football but can balance the ball on his head while jumping through a ring of fire - thats going to get us promoted for sure.

While I agree that Trundle should start..... I'm it has nothing to do with footage seen on YouTube!

If you asked I would tell you why I think he should start, but I know my view I wanted others!

I personnaly believe he should start for the following reasons:

He has everything to prove after his time at Swansea and not starting week in week out for city

His goal on Sat (which was calm and calculated) will give him confidence.

He does not seem to be affected by pressure so much as some of the others players, he might even thrive on it!

Apart from brooker no stricker is on form right now for us

If he scores and we win it will hurt Cardiff fans even more

At 1 million he needs to justify his worth, because if city do get promoted and I honestly looking at the fixtures and studying the table I think we can, he will never play premiership football elsewhere.

All these factors I think can help motivate him that extra bit, which could make the difference, Lets hope!

His presence will create an intimidating atmosphere from the home fans which I don't know would help or hinder us?

On the other hand he will be really fired up and desperate to score for us.

I think that GJ will start with him on the bench along with Murray.

Imagine the reception from a Murray & Trundle double substitution in the last 10 minutes! :noexpression:

I think if Trundle doesn't start Brooker will, adebola looked tired on Sat and him and Byfield together was not that effective, GJ was not happy during the match or after. Murray apparently played quite well in the reserves tonight, I think he will be on the bench again, but may get a run out if things don't go to plan by half time. GJ says he will rest players who are feeling the pressure, could be an exicting squad!!

I hope Gary Johnson does NOT go with trundle, because he's been poor for us every time he's played lately and I don't think he's good enough for this league.

I thought he did quite well on Saturday especially after his penalty which seemed to lift him.

Lately he has been restricted to 10-15 mins at the end of games and has been pushed out wide rather than down the middle so its not fair to judge him on these performances. In comparison Dele has played every game since he arrived and over the past few weeks has shown signs of fatigue so for me it will be Brooker and Trundle up front now that GJ has called Brooker back.

I think that he keeps the ball very well and always finds a pass after it. i think if you look up the stats it backs this

His only down fall me is that he plays slighty too deep and for what reason i don't no but i think it would be great for him and the team if he starts on saturday.

Quality player just needs a few goals and after saturday i think he has the confidence to get them now.

Agreed, there's nothing wrong with him as a footballer, he's excellent but just can't seem to score goals.

On what basis do you say 'increasingly likely' ?

I still think he will be on the bench but, if needed, come on with about 25 minutes to go. Having said that brooker adds a new dynamic and while before GJ has had Trundle and Byfield on the bench I doubt he will have 3 strikers in the dug out... one of them must surely start IF all of them are to be in the squad.

I say play him, cos he looks like he may be coming into

a bit of form, he's one of the most exciting players we've had for years,

and he hates Baadiff :englandflag:

Trunds has to start with Dele for me. 2 upfront, Brooks on the bench. Particularly if LJ is still injured - no questions about which of the centre midfielders to leave out. Sproule to start. Time for Big Marv to produce another of his match-winning performances.

Funnily enough, I think he did play for us once!! Well, sort of..! wasn't he the guy that represented City in the half time or pre match entertainment at the Millenium once. Can't remember whether it was the play offs or the mickey mouse cup, but I do remember each team had someone in their colours playing keepy uppy, and the Chinese guy we had was just amazing.

So, just goes to show that you can get to play for City based on You tube appearances!!

Vasko looked OK as well and we had three centre forwards, two wingers and we could still only score a penalty. :disapointed2se:

He's a showboat circus act. He's already shown that he can't hack it at Championship level and will prove it in front of his "favorite" crowd on Saturday. I don't respect the jacks for anything they've ever done but to get £1m for that peg seller is an acheivement.

I don't know. Maybe something to do with 18 league apps (13) from the bench and just 4 goals. Correct me if I'm wrong but the toothless moron is a striker, yes?? Fair enough he can juggle a ball like a performing seal but the hard facts say that he's a flat track bully.

He's done nothing but yet played in 90% of games for the team sat 2nd in the 5th biggest league in europe

Ummm because he hasn't played next to a target man like he did at swansea etc?

Give him a chance next to a target man and he won't be the only striker who will be marked.
