gater2
Bringing back Betsy isnt a bad shout........hes not as quick but has got a final ball, Sproule was poor today but i would rather have him over murray. We have got 2 good full backs who like to get forward so why play with wide players - Basso Orr Carey Mcombe Macca Elliot Johnson Mcindoe Carle Brooker Trunds/Dele/Byfield Too attacking!????? That's really not a bad shout in my opinion.. I think we simply HAVE to be attacking next week. Everyone knows our problem is goals at the moment, so we must try new things to find them. No goals next week will be a disaster as I certainly see Stoke scoring at least one. Carle did well for the few mins he came on yesterday, and although he hasn't scored yet, he gets into attacking positions and is due a goal. What about even a 433, putting Brooker, Trunds and Dele up front (instead of Carle) and bringing the specialist Byfield on later if we need to? It's hard because of course if you attack more then you leave yourself exposed at the back, but for me we're just not going to get in the top 2 if we can't score, so maybe it's worth the risk.. bs16bcfc
I have to disagree with that, the man was a disgrace to the red shirt! He shirked, he hid, he put his hand up to come off - although not injured, at times he was walking...all what you need at this time of season. What about his long passes when he couln't be bothered to run? I have to blame GJ somewhat for not getting him off earlier.. Have to agree. Was so mad yesterday, I actually stated after the game that he shouldn't be allowed to wear the shirt again. Today have mellowed a bit but watching all the talk on here, wondered if I went to the same game as everyone else.
ziderhead2003
The amount of times he doesn't use the massive amounts of space down the right really annoys me. His overall distribution to the team is shocking.
jimmer007
People are saying Murray is past it, but any player who hasnt played for 6 months is going to struggle to begin with, id have murray over sproule every time, at least you get 100% commitment and a final ball, which i cant remember sproule doing anything for ages. sproule just frustrates me, surely johnson should be telling him to be on the shoulder of the left back, with his pace (if he can be bothered to use it) would create alot more problems, rather than sitting deep then trying to beat two men which more often than not results in him being tackled what was with sproule let ting the ball run out 2nd half, he didnt even attempt to cross it, has no clue in my opinion. for a 27 year old is very poor, he seems clueless when to make runs, pass it, shoot, the list could go on i hope he proves me wrong because when at the start of the season he looked awesome his lightning pace and a final ball and the odd goal, for some reason or another after one run he seems to have had it these days and half the time looks like he couldnt be bothered, aprt from the odd occasion bring back Murray, or Wilson, anyone just not Sproule untill/if he starts firing again
Citysparx
I agree, Ivan just hasn't produced the goods that he promised at the beginning of the season. I say we chuck in Wilson and leave out Mccombe, who is apsolutely dire i have a heart attack whenever that guy touches the ball. For me, the team v Stoke should be..... Basso Orr Fontaine Carey Mccalister Mcindoe Elliot Johnson/Carle Wilson Adebola Brooker And on the sub bench...... Byfield, Vasko, Sproule, Mccombe, Weale I am pretty sure that this set up of the team can challenge anyone and get a decent result. If Gary picks this team i will be ecstatic. Jordan Tansley
sproule was pretty awful, and evry single person in the dolman could see that he a)couldnt b arsedb)doesnt understand that if theres a space u run into it and c)as a winger the main job is to run at people, mccindoe is everything sprouler isnt, 100% effort, positive running, reasonable delivery. wilson is a much more consistent performer, he has a fair bit of pace, can tackle, shoot and cross and imo would probs get an assist with brooks up front with dele, however i quite like the idea of playin trunds there, recall scunny at home-2 wonder goals cutting in from the right, we've spent a million on him so y not play to his strengths?, he also has the best cross at the club and despite his poor showings fro city is still a very good player we could also revert to the wingback tactic from last season with bradders and jamie bombing on and fontaine sweeping up mccombes mistakes, all in all, we are techniquely a small club in this division and are in a good position so if sprouler starts against stoke, then he deserves our support, i don't care about the armchairs watchin on tele but to those going(i am) get behing whoever plays, be it sproule wilson or steve ###### phillips because its about time the fans started showing some appreciation for the fantastic season that they have supplied us with WE ARE BRISTOL CITY WE PLAY IN RED AND WHITE WE REALLY H8 THE ROVERS THEIR CLUBS IS ####ING SH1TE WE ALSO H8 THE CARDIFF THE SHEEP MOLESTING SCUM AND WHEN WE come TO PLAY EM YOU KNOW THERE going to RUN
