Bristol Rob
Differing views on the radio phone in. Some callers saying 3 match ban, others saying never a red. Has anyone seen it on a replay and able to provide a balanced point of view?

He lunges in very late with two feet. I don't think there is any intent and I don't think studs are up as far as I can see but his trailing leg is right off the ground. He's definitely going for the ball but he misses it by a substantial margin. Some refs would give a red and some would give a yellow but I can't see how it will be overturned. I'm hoping it will only be a one-match ban though.
cityexile
Reminded me a bit of the Wolves sending off against us. Yellow would not have been shocking, but can see why he went red. Not in control. Equally, at the point of contact it is not high. 50/50 yellow or red for me, and as such do not think we will win an appeal. Hospital pass by Flint created it. Redland
Watching it live I thought it was a yellow card. Sliding tackle and got there a fraction late. Thought the QPR player made a meal of it and miraculously recovered as soon as Baker was sent off.
Gazred
9/10 times it's a yellow for me. Tad clumsy but not a straight red.
nickolas
I dont get how you can do a slide tackle without your legs off the ground?! these rules are so ####ed up nowadays. Gone are the days of contact sport. May aswell get your slippers on and turn it into basketball.
Fordy62
Definite yellow.
swanker
Don’t know about the tackle, I was more amazed with the pass from Flint. What was he doing?
old_eastender
Hopefully just 1 match ban, be interesting to see if club appeal 50/50 on whether red or yellow having seen the replay's.
Padlad
Red on first view, possible yellow on replay, clumsy and in real time looked bad, in replay was on the ground when he tackled, ref doesn't get that option
UREDS_91
Yellow all day long. Appalling by the ref. Clearly doesn’t go in with 2 feet. The right leg trails and makes contact after. Left foot slides along the floor without studs up.

There is a slide tackle and then there is jumping into a tackle ,think you might be confused.Agree that it’s a soft sport nowadays but we can’t keep harping back to the good old days
formerly known as ivan
Jumped off the floor which you can’t do nowadays. If it was a tackle by a QPR player on one of ours you’d be screaming for a red all day long.

AppyDAZE
Looked reckless from the half-way line, up in the back of the Dolman. Not seen it back. I thought he was walking tbh. Interested to see it again though.

Septic Peg
50/50 for me. Looked a one footed tackle but went in studs up and also didn't get the ball. Like someone else said, one ref would say yellow, one would say red.

bcfcredandwhite
I was at the top of the Dolman so it was the other side of the pitch from me. I have to admit I cringed and held my head in my hands - from where I was, watching g it live, it was a red for sure. I have not seen the replay yet though - and to be fair neither had the ref. bcfcredandwhite
If the replay shows differently then we’ll appeal. If we don’t appeal then I guess we are accepting it.

city1983
Wasn’t sure watching it live. Watching it back on telly it’s a yellow all day long. But I think the crowds collective reaction to the tackle made a referees decision easy
