  1. I can answer my own question with certainty now, yes we should and yes I am. FFS what was Jon Lansdown thinking!!!!
  2. You have more faith than me in our ability to win, at home or not. Our one win under Manning we scraped home after conceding 2 goals. Teams that ship goals left, right and centre lose games I'm afraid. Nigel realised that, but sadly for us he is gone.
  3. I get what you are saying, but you are p*ssing in the wind. The fan base is furious with Nige's unjust sacking and the poor results and dive towards the relegation spots that has happened since. A defeat on Saturday and the stadium will erupt that is for certain.
  4. You are spot on, Nige got us to the stage where only Leicester had a tighter defence, now we need to score 3 goals to win a game. Anyone who thinks relegation is not a possibility is deluded.
  5. I thought Stephen Hendry was a big Hearts fan? Must have an English team as well.
  6. Exactly, remind them you are not American and you'll be going to the football. You'll be there for their birthdays, Xmas and Easter but they can get lost if they think you'll be doing baby showers, Halloween or Thanksgiving...and no you don't care if the Broncos or the Cowboys win the Super Bowl.
  7. Games gone soft when club officials can't lamp the referee!
  8. I can't be true then, everyone in Shrewsbury has Rovers as their second favourite team.
  9. Yes, three points for Watkins v Aberdeen and then a cameo in the victory against Champions Celtic. Derek McInnes has now beaten Rangers and Celtic twice this season. That is Kilmarnock's first time beating Celtic twice in a season since they won the league in the early 1960s. Well done that man.
  10. With 9,000 tickets for City supporters, I'm sure lots of the Sunday League matches will be rearranged. You're giving the opposition plenty of notice so it shouldn't be an issue.
  11. 2pm on a Sunday, it could have been worse (and better of course). I hope ticket pricing is sensible, if it is there will be a very large following from the West Country. COYR
  12. If it is £10 a ticket we could take 10,000+. The sort of travelling army that usually only the Gas can muster (although strangely they never 'travel' in those numbers to North Bristol!
  13. I'm more concerned about the goals we are shipping. Under Nigel we didn't score lots but we had a mean defence, now we seem very open.
  14. Yes, I think you are right. But it is a very congested Championship and we have only taken a point a game under Manning against teams like QPR and Norwich who were both in dreadful form going into the matches. I just don't want us stuck in the bottom 6 looking nervously over our shoulder.
  15. Since Nigel has been removed we have only won one game and we have started shipping goals. In the game we won, we still conceded twice. With an average of one point per game under Manning, with the bottom three now seemingly improving, how worried should we be about relegation? I'm not looking over my shoulder yet, but I have to admit I am very concerned about how the defence has crumbled since big Nige was sacked.
  16. Only club in Bristol to regularly have 2000 fans locked out of away games and to take 55,000 to Wembley despite the official gate for both clubs being only 52,000
  17. Not condoning any of the bad behaviour last night, some of it was very poor and cringeworthy. However, it is all a million miles away from the 1980s. I remember watching a match at Bolton in about 1988 where I was sat in the stand, and below me on the terrace was a mini riot involving about 100 City fans and 100 Bolton fans. You also had monkey chants at matches and bananas thrown, chants of 'get yer t*ts out for the lads' if anyone female aged 14-60 walked anywhere and had breasts larger than a B cup, coins, bricks, cups of P*ss etc thrown, chairs ripped out and thrown, fires lit on terraces etc. Today's match experience is so different and so much more sanitised. That said, I'll say again, some horrible behaviour still at times and the chanting at a 12 year old is out of order however much of a bell end his dad is.
  18. It is about being realistic not being negative. We were moving in the right direction under Nige and now that has all been ripped up. Today we were really poor for large spells of the game. We have won and I am delighted, but we'll have to be much, much better on Wednesday. I will be there cheering the boys on and I really hope I'm eating a large dish of humble pie at the end of the season, but I have concerns for our short term progress.
  19. 11 shots on target out of 10!!! Also 110% effort
  20. I can see him doing a Warnock and managing into his 70s. He has loads to offer and if he gets fit there will be a lot of clubs after him. I don't think he'll want his career to end with a sacking at City, I think there is more to come in the Nigel story.
  21. Why have you posted a photo of the Bernabeu?
  22. Yes, Scott Murray is yer right mid sorted Aizlewood should go in as centre half and then Coles can play right back
  23. Yes, beating his partner on numerous occasions and dead in his mid 50s due to alcohol is no laughing matter. I remember watching him play for City away at Oxford United (when they were a very good team) in the league cup and he scored an unbelievable goal. One of my favourite City goals of all time.
