Brighton beat Man United with last minute penalty
Dolman_Stand replied to Curr Avon's topic in Football Chat
Is there a better run club than Brighton in world football? With European football on the horizon and the extra games that entails and Caicedo / McAllister likely to leave this summer I think it's pretty likely Alex Scott will be playing there next season, particularly with how close to home it'll be for him. In terms of development for him I cant think of a better club for him and also to maximise any sell on clause we get in the deal -
Murray came through at Villa so hadn't been tainted by that standard by the time we got him, Conway is a stretch not sure he'd ever been to Scotland before his call up! McAllister and Hartley were decent but our record in buying from SPL clubs is patchy at best. Hopefully this lad bucks the trend

Not overly complimentary about life in Aberdeen!!

As good as he was Roy Keane was a nasty little ******

Wouldn't say its been an enjoyable season overall as we've had nothing to play for since early March but it has been a necessary "building block" season that we can hopefully launch from next year.

Wouldn't surprise me if he wanted to move back to the area, only 30 years old and looks after himself so providing a deal could be done financially I would be all for this. Could play LB, LM and even cover Central Midfield if needed. Cracking player and a good person to have around. -
Just watching it now, generally like them both as personalities but Hearn has taken him to school in this interview
-
Strictly speaking your right but this summer is when his value will be at its peak, after that his contract becomes an issue as it will be 18 months left in the January and 12 the following summer and we will be in a far weaker negotiating position.

Virgin media as per usual a let down on the red button front

Going to be bored of the site of Wembley by the end of this season -
With Alex's form recently pretty much confirming his Premier League class was wondering how everyone think he stacks up against the last 19 year old who was clearly too good for us and this division?

Was only built 7 years ago?

Give it a chance its only Friday

Palace wouldn't pay what we want, Brighton or West Ham are realistic especially if Rice and Caicedo move for mega bucks in the summer and from our perspective would mean there is a potentially chunky sell on if one of the big 6 take him in a couple of years. I think Spurs are the ones he may end up at though, it's his boyhood club and they have a settled midfield with Hojberg and Bentancur so no pressure straight away gives him a chance to settle in. The Lansdown/Levy negotiations would be fun for everyone as well
-
His market value will never be higher than it is this summer unless he signs a new contract so I'd be surprised if he was here after the next window.
-
Hope he cleaned up after himself

Man City - no, not tickets, but dodgy stuff…as if!!!

LJ would have been right about Europe in 5 years....he should sue them personally as he'd have a statue outside Ashton Gate by now if it wasn't for them -
Alex Scott - Treasure his outstanding talent

Does anyone know if any of the bookies are taking bets on him for the Euro 2024 squad? -
Timm Klose and Chris Martin leave (Confirmed)

Didn't he have a family issue in Switzerland? I can remember NP saying he had gone back to deal with it a while ago, maybe that situation got worse and prevented him from being here if so then hopefully all is well for TK -
Did he have a stint at Walsall too?
-
So how much is this tie worth to us as a club? Anywhere around the £1m mark surely....might help with tomorrow's transfer activity

Ahead on 2 cards at the time of stoppage and had him rocked on multiple occasions. Yarde was much better than I thought he was
