I can never really decide on this kind of stuff, it's pretty clear that football is far more sanitised than it was 20 years ago yet I wouldn't even consider going to an away game anymore due to the level of bone head knuckle draggers we (and all other clubs) seem to attract which is far worse than I can remember even a decade ago. 99% sure there is a homegrown quota which means that you need a certain quantity of players in your squad that were trained in the UK for something like 4 years before there 21st birthday, doesn't have to necessarily be within your own academy though just within the UK. That's why Scott Carson is still at Man City, Butland now at United, Rob Green did it at Chelsea I think too.
